This is one of the simplest yet effective methods for clearing blocked drains. To clean the drain, all you require is a wire coat hanger. Now turn on the vacuum, and within minutes you will see all the grime in your vacuum bag. You can go for the suction cleaning method by using the vacuum cleaner. This pulls out the dirt quite easily.

To use this method, you will need caustic soda, rubber gloves, and glasses for protection. It is because caustic soda can cause nasty burns. Caustic soda is commonly known as Sodium Hydroxide and is readily available in the hardware stores. Wear your protective gear and now pour 3 cups of soda in the bucket filled with 3/4 gallon of cold water. Now use a wooden stick and stir it well. 5. Cleaning blocked drains the drain snake.

You will need a flexible metal rope with a spiral metal in one end. The method is similar to the hanger method. But it is much easier to push the grime with flexible rope.
